GSEC
GIAC Security Essentials · GIAC
The GSEC proves a broad and genuinely technical command of security fundamentals: networks, Windows and Linux, cryptography, access control, cloud and incident handling. GIAC exams are respected for their depth and are linked to SANS courses, which are renowned but expensive. Its strength is a more technical foundation than most entry-level certifications; its limit is the total cost with training, which usually requires employer funding.
